“People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.”~~ Zig Ziglar
I enjoy reading motivational quotes often. I have found a website with lots of quotes that are easy to search for by topic. All of the quotes in this post were found on thinkexist.com
Here is a quote very appropriate for New Year's Day!
“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.” ~~Edith Lovejoy Pierce
I think instead of just New Year's Resolutions, we need to have resolutuions often throughout the year we should constantly be trying to learn and better ourselves. We are here to 'enjoy the journey' and our lives are a 'work in progress'. This is a great quote about learning.
“As long as you're green, you're growing. As soon as you're ripe, you start to rot.” ~~ Ray Kroc (American pioneer of the fast-food industry, Founder of McDonald's. 1902-1984)
I hope that this year we can all realize what it is that makes us happy and work towards our dreams. Our emotions are our constant guidance system to let us know whether what we are thinking and doing is getting us closer to where we want to be or further away. If we could all get out of our own way and do what makes us happy, this world would be a much better place.
Speaking of getting out of our own way, I love this quote and it helps me a lot.
"How would I be doing this differently if I were willing to let it be easy?" ~~Alan Cohen
On Twitter today, I asked my followers to send their favorite motivational quotes to me, and this is what I got:
"Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you're right." ~Henry Ford
"Get busy living or get busy dying." (from Shawshank Redemption)
"If you're going through hell.. Keep going.." ~Winston Churchill
“The only goal worth attaining is complete freedom to be yourself, without illusions and false beliefs”

Great blog article! I love motivational quotes. Love this one: "Take a lesson from the mosquito. It never waits for an opening; it makes one."
Another Twitter friend of mine has great motivational quotes on her short newsletter at http://www.lifetransitionsforwomen.com/newsletters/newsletter/6635865/60389.htm
