My Latest Addiction - Etsy

I have only known about Etsy for about 6 months, but it is already one of my favorite places on the web. Etsy is where you can buy and sell all things handmade and/or vintage. I do not make handmade items myself, but I do have a page there. From my Etsy page, you can see all of my favorite items and favorite sellers. It is so fun to browse around on Etsy. The amount of talent there is astounding.

Here are just a few of my recent purchases. I bought these very pretty Czech Glass Dragonfly Earrings (except mine are green). I have them on right now and they are beautiful.





As part of my Mom's Christmas Present, I got her this balancing wine bottle holder. It is very cool!

Easyweigh to Lose Weight

On Christmas day I placed an order for a book called Easyweigh to Lose Weight by Allen Carr. I am excited to get it and start reading it. I have read about a million diet books but I feel this one will be different. The reason I feel that way is because a few years ago, I read The Easy Way to Stop Drinking by the same author and it worked! I have not had a drink since April 21, 2007.

I was by no means an alcoholic, but drank more often than I thought I should. It was more of just a habit and "there was never enough". Trying to cut down never worked so I figured it was all or nothing. I read that book, followed what it said, quit drinking and never looked back. I never missed it at all and still don't.

I am hoping this book will do the same for me with food. Of course something in the process will be different since I can't go cold turkey with eating (no pun intended). The same time I stopped drinking I also started losing a lot of weight with Weight Watchers, but I have recently found that weight again!! :(

I will post again after I read the book and let you know how it is. What is your favorite weight loss book?

I Am Hoping to Surprise Myself!

I am fairly new to blogging and have so far just blogged here about Avon products and deals. I have decided I want only one blog where I can talk about a little bit of everything. I have made so many great friends on Myspace, Twitter, Yahoo Groups, etc. and would love one place where they all know they can find me and we can keep in touch. I saw the movie Marley & Me yesterday which is based on the book of the same title. The book is a New York Times bestselling autobiography by journalist John Grogan.
The movie was awesome, and it made me want to be a writer. John surprised himself by being a great columnist when he really thought he was a reporter. Maybe I can surprise myself this year and be an interesting blogger.

I want to post frequently, but briefly, so please follow my blog and I promise it won't take a lot of time to read. I would love to receive lots of comments each time with suggestions or just a shout out so I know you were here. When you comment, I will be able to see your blog and follow you!
